Tore Tønne: case; school work

This time, I will talk about a political case in Norway. Since this blog was started because of one of the classes I take in school, this case is about the press role in centre of power.
A short brief: Tore Tønne a Norwegian ex politician, he did work for a politician with name Kjell Inge Røkke in 2002. Tønne earned 1.5 million NK (NK =Norwegian kroner) in six weeks, and then it was discovered by the press. Witch gave the result that he wanted double salary, and then Røkke claimed that Tønne owned him 3 million NK. Sometime later, Tønne took suicide.

The question is did the press do the right decision? Was it only for self-fame the reporter wrote about the case? Are the press guilty of Tønnes decision? And last: did the press break some of their own rules to bring the message to the Norwegian people?

The press role is to bring those who misuses their power to corruption in the “light”, but was this case as corrupt as well? If we look at the one side of the case, the press is wrong and they did break two of their rules in Ethical Code of Practice for the Norwegian Press, number 4.3 and more or less 4.6 which is a rules that the press self set. However on the other side of the case; the press role is about reveal the truth to the public. But should we see away from that they broke their own ethnical rules? No, if they have broken the rules, then they need to realise it before it is too late. Unfortunately it happened before there were done anything. But was the press wrong to reveal the truth? Again no, then who is guilty? The decision was Tønnes response of the stress and the force of the choice on him. Are there evidence that he actually did something wrong?


The press did its job, and what did Tønne? He took suicide because of the pressure from the press or he didn’t want anymore and just gave up his life. The decision suicide was not taken by the press, it was by him.

So the remaining question is: did the journalist do it for the fame? This case was probably the one of the biggest that week in December, so the case would be big and give credit to the journalist who found the scoop. So maybe it was for the fame or...

This is all fine, but is anything the right answer? Post a comment below and see if we comes a conclusion.

Sword of the Stranger

This is a movie that is historical, a 16+ age. Well.. much can't be said because of the spoilers, but if you have a little knowledge of Japan's history you will know what legend, have a big affection on the storyline.

Detective Conan: Movie 15

The next Detective Conan movie will be released on April, 2011. However then it comes available online with Sub it is not know, but we can expect near October, 2011.

The movie is called: Quarter Of Silence. This time it is about a bomb case, the bomb seems too be explode in a tunnel, witch perhaps means that Conan are trap in the place. And they most likely try to escape. Well at least that is my thought.

Detective Conan

hey people!

It's time to see on an anime called Detective Conan.
For your information, DC is the second longest anime ever created (correct me if I am wrong). About two weeks from now, the 600 episode are out. And I recommend the anime, mainly because I'm a Detective fan myself. But also because the Tricks they use in the series, and all of them are really good. Here are some facts:

Detective Conan started in 1994, and have 598 episodes. Including 14 movies, the main character Shinichi Kudo (take note that the first name stands last, it's because the japanise calls a person by the last name) who is a Detective, Kudo is a Holms fan (Sherlock Holmes).

And yes, those of you watching on English dub. Give the white flag in, the series is not translate more then 100 episode or so. So watch it on Japanise with sub.
